What a banger of a game this is.

It's looking like one of those games where whoever has the ball last is going to win.

Between this game and the one earlier between GT and Clemson, this has been a great day of college football.

I hope A&M vs Notre Dame completes the trifecta later tonight.

Not impressed by Tennessee's defense out on the edges. Georgia's just hitting them with simple looking swing passes and WR screens and the Vols can't seem to figure out how to take it away.

If OU gives up more than 20 points to Arch Manning, something went horribly wrong on defense.
Something is terribly wrong there.

Let's say Manning really is overrated. He still shouldn't be THIS bad.

Hell, in backup appearances last year against better teams, he looked really solid and at times impressive.

No matter where you have him rated, there's no way he's 8 of 20 for 96 yards vs UTEP, bad.

I'm sure it's starting to get into his head too, but I think we need to start also looking at the coaching because for as good as an offensive mind as Sark may be, none of his QBs at Texas have been overly impressive and we need start asking if maybe he's not doing them any favors.

What a fucking pass.

Man he dropped that drop right out of the sky Troy Aikman style.

What an absolute beauty of a pass that was.

And what a hell of a game this is.

The fact he's playing this poorly vs UTEP is alarming. I thought for sure these would be easy confidence building games before SEC play kicked off.

It could be the coaches and the system. Jackson Arnold played poorly vs Tulane and Houston last year when he was saddled with a shitty OC and system. Now that he's at Auburn with better coaching, he looks like a functional college QB.

Turned on the Texas game and it's like Sark doesn't trust Manning. Mostly just running except for a couple of very safe passes. Finally scored on a simple out, but the one before that was an easy little swing pass that Manning made the back really reach for.

Looks like that OU game might actually be a good one.

I'm keeping an out on the USF/Miami game as well. So far USF is hanging tight with the Canes.

They're only down 14-6 in the 2nd qtr.

It's the exact same thing he did with Ewers last year.

You guys know I'm not Ewers fan, but I said all along that if you were going to continue to go with him, then you needed to let him turn it loose because they weren't going to win the NC with such conservative play calling.

Well, he's doing the same thing with Manning.

Sark is becoming part of the problem.

Do the Vols fans storm the field if they finally beat Georgia?

Or is he protecting Manning because he isn't all that?

Again, maybe he's overrated. I can buy that.

But there's no way he's THIS bad. How the hell are Manning's mechanics this damn bad? Didn't the staff work with him all off-season?

I think it's very fair to question what type of coaching he's receiving and that starts with Sark.

Sark is a really good offensive mind. He's got great concepts and play design and he knows how to attack defenses.

But look at his entire body of work going back to when he was at Alabama.

Has he made ANY QB better? The answer is no.

Some guys are both great, offensive minds and great quarterback coaches like Norv Turner and Andy Reid.

Some guys are just good OC's.

Based on what I've seen from Sark, especially at Texas, he's the latter and not the former.

That's the main reason I don't trust them.

It's so stupid. Trusting 19 year olds to hit pressure packed kicks in front of 100K fans
And that's exactly the mistake they made because they watched him hit a 48-yarder earlier in the game.
