Gene Jones must be pissed. Even she can't find art pieces to compensate for our on field performance.
At least she can find solace in the fact that her husband will probably be in some bar looking for a young girl to stick his dick in.

Well, in a sense, that's true. The only worthwhile goal is winning the Super Bowl. All moves should be made to further that goal.
Which would imply that failure to make any damned progress or improve in any way should be taken as a bad sign.

You must think you are talking to someone who did not say that we should be looking to replace our head coach with an upgrade.

Yeah, but in the big picture 8-8 isn't any better than 5-11. Just because it makes you feel better isn't a reason.
Assuming Neither results in playoffs, yeah there's not much difference.

There are good moments in a 5-11 season, too.

It's not that there's NO difference, but there isn't much.
From a pragmatic and clinical perspective, sure. As a fan though almost every win matters, and even the backup-fests like at the end of the 2010 season help build character among reserves. How many close games and wins have we sweated through over the last decade plus? That was time I'd rather have been nowhere else except watching those games. The three wins between 8-8 and 5-11 represent three weeks and countless other recollections where I'm not feeling punched in the gut when I think about my team's last outing.

Maybe I'm getting sentimental as I get older, but looking at 8-8 and 5-11 as a bunch of numbers is too cold for me.

I agree that most seasons that don't end in a playoff run can't be called a success, but there's a tangible and meaningful difference that comes from every win.

You've become Garrett's unofficial DCC advocate. Not an easy perception to shake, regardless of what else you may have said.

Can't find any offensive balance because you can't seem to figure out how or when to run the ball despite having one of the most efficient RB's in the league?

Might as well hire another pass-happy idiot.

I can't wait until we go 6-10 next year and I never have to see Garrett's face in Dallas again.

Yes, many people operate with a fabricated idea of what my opinions actually are; I'm aware of that.

That's not true.
It is. You occasionally throw out an Andy Reid, but you will never accept a coordinator or college head coach would be an upgrade, even though Garrett throws a couple of games a year so badly it looks intentional.

Per source, Cowboys are still "visiting" with Scott Linehan; Bill Callahan will return no matter what

The Cowboys are still "visiting" with former Lions offensive coordinator Scott Linehan about a position on their staff, per a source.

If Linehan is hired, look for him to replace offensive coordinator Bill Callahan as the offensive play caller in 2014.

But despite reports about Callahan possibly leaving to become offensive coordinator in Cleveland if Linehan replaces him as the play caller, he remains under contract and will return to the Cowboys in 2014 no what matter what, a source said.

Callahan called plays last season, taking over for coach Jason Garrett who had been the team's play caller since 2006, If Linehan joined the Cowboys he would be the team's third play caller in as many years.

The Cowboys had the league's 16th-ranked offense last season and their 5,461 yards were the fewest by the franchise since 2005.

Linehan is a veteran offensive coordinator, play caller and former head coach who is directed the league's sixth, third and fifth-ranked offenses the last three seasons in Detroit.

He is good friends with Garrett going back to their days with the Miami Dolphins in 2005 when Garrett was the quarterbacks coach and Linehan was the offensive coordinator.

I just don't understand the point of keeping Callahan around if Linehan is hired. Pollack has basically taken over the OL, so what's to gain by keeping Callahan?

So Jerry doesn't have to pay him what is due on his contract.

I don't see the sense keeping a coach if you are basically making him not want to be here, but that's me.

Exactly. Just cut him loose and pay out his contract. You have to pay him either way. This way is just going to cause derision in the locker room and in the coaches office. Makes no sense at all.
