They aren't wasting him on clear run downs either.

But they've also jumped out to 2 TD leads quickly in both of these first two games, Parsons is going to look amazing in that scenario no matter what is going on around him.
Pack D looked pretty good tonight though. Fuck we might end up with a pick at the end of the first round.

Who dresses the bald guy on the post game show? There’s no style to a hoody with a dress jacket over top of it. Every. Show.

“Thank you, Jerry” chants from the crowd as Micah Parsons getting interviewed
My god the late night crew are practically sucking him off on TV.

I see the Packers are falling into the trap of playing parsons in meaningless minutes for no reasons other than to boost his stats.
Parsons made some plays, if anything it just shows when he’s paired with another quality player who can rush the QB he’s even better than he was in Dallas. Packers are resting him too. Keeping him fresh.
Hmmm…. Who to believe…?

He looked like the same guy he's always been to me.

Explosive off the line, causing havoc in the backfield, etc.

If they're smart, they'll limit his snaps and protect him against the run and that will keep him fresher at the end of the year.

Imagine having to limit the snaps of the highest paid non-QB in the league, though. Making that player almost a situational rusher. Weird.
What he should've always been, although I have my doubts that they'll have the discipline to keep limiting his snaps like this.

But unless you're incredibly blessed as a team, how can you afford to have the highest paid player (non QB) as a one dimensional player? Cap wise and everything else it doesn't make sense.

Unfortunately, they might be that blessed, as they look pretty loaded from top to bottom.

Yea I mean that conundrum is one of the reasons I was fine trading him.

I also don't think Green Bay is actually that stacked, they just look like it right now because these first two games have gone exactly to script.

I think their offense in particular is going to start showing cracks as the year goes on, Jacobs looks like he's kind of at the end of the line and they just lost their best WR for probably 8-10 weeks. Maybe LaFleur really is just that good of an offensive mind that he can scheme up stuff around lesser talent, but we'll see.

Totally agree with that. Things won't always go as well for them as they have these first two weeks.

Pretty obvious we’ve given GB the key to championship appearances for the foreseeable future unless he wears down, which may not be the case since he’s not allowed to be mugged by OL any longer.

Maybe but he wasn't that key for us, one way or the other.

If you look at Green Bay's roster construction they've invested heavily on the defensive side and not so much on the offensive side. In the past 5ish years they've spent 1's on Devonte Wyatt, Quay Walker, Rashad Gary, Lukas Van Ness, and now two future 1's on Parsons.

Offensively they mostly have mid-round talent and a few FA signings, and ultimately I think that's where the rubber will start to meet the road as Josh Jacobs looks to be wearing down, Reed is out for an extended period, and their OL might be a bit banged up going forward.

What really separates them from us in terms of Parsons specifically is that they have a bunch of jumbo DE's that can take on the run-stuffing responsibilities in Gary and Van Ness, although I keep coming back to how these last two games have gone perfectly to script.

They've basically been up 14 by the beginning of the 2nd quarter, and we all know how games like that have gone with our defense over the last several years. Let's see how things look when they aren't going to script.

It's early and it's always hard to draw any conclusions early, but GB might be the best team in the conference.

Which I don't love, especially since we have their 1st.

But ultimately I'd take it over the alleged alternative.

Here’s a blast from the past. Remember when we drafted Schoonerbaum over Tucker Kraft?
Was Kraft still available? I had it in my head that he was already gone? Either way perfect example of flawed scouting. One was an awesome college player. One had awesome testing numbers but a mediocre college resume. We went with the guy that had the workout numbers but not the resume.

There is always next year for them to not be great.

But I will also say it is early. The Saints were great for like 4 games last year. And then utter shit. It's a long football season.
