Jerry said he called Mike Lynn and told him he's cutting all 5 players.

Umm, no. He cut 3 after the season, traded Darrin Nelson to SD, and Holt was there through the 92 season.
That's right.

Holt was the only one we kept and he actually started that season at cornerback and eventually lost out to Kevin Smith.

I remember him getting beat on that long Jerry Rice touchdown in the NFCC that ultimately got called back, but that was all Jimmy needed to see to bench him in favor of Smith.

I think Pup just got dinged up for a play and they immediately went at Holt for the TD, right? Fortunately there was a penalty and Smith went back in, I think.

That's exactly what happened, although SF told a different story about that play, not even mentioning that they took that shot because Pup had just gone out.
Exactly. I remember the post game interview-- Steve Young was totally butt-hurt about that play, but if Maryland isn't held he'd have crushed Young or at the least greatly interfered with his step up deep throw.

And Smith came back and hugely helped the pass defense overall, though Rice still had his moments

That sounds so ridiculous, at first I thought it was a fake account like booze falls for. :unsure
Yeah I thought it must be fake as well at first. And it's not about throwing the ball too hard for guys to catch it. It's about the angle of the ball coming in when you're trying to get it past defenders. If it's always a bullet you'll never get the right trajectory on some throws.

Minny traded him for a 5th, not Dallas. He was never our player to trade.
I thought Irv got it right? A player can't just refuse to go to a team unless he retires, right? Didn't we still have his rights?

I think Minny substituted a different player after he refused to report.

Pretty much they expect him to take a cut rate deal they thought they had without any input from the agent.

Parsons once said he didn't have to have all teh monies. But something happened and this relationship has went to shit, and now he wants it all.

It's because the agent was never going to let that happen. Which is why Jerry back doored it (Probably why he always tries to) and once Parson's wanted his agent involved in negotiations it all crashed.

What’s funny is he immediately went back to Minnesota who was determined to trade him because of Walker went to SD then back to Minny anyway
