I've thought about this a few times.

Even if he looks completely overwhelmed and deserves to be a one and done coach, Jerry will probably keep trotting him out there while better head coaches take jobs elsewhere.
The special experience he delivers as a GM is only a thing where those getting hit with alimony or the overrated one time SB winner would appreciate. A young gun ain’t taking him and his stupid ass as GM.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if Schotty was so desperate for this job that he agreed to some kind of out in his contract each year, or at least after a couple of years. Remember Jerry pining for that when he talked about Mike's deal.

I think Jerry wanted heavy incentives, which I'm guessing are somewhat in Schotty's contract.

It's all a bit of a farce.

Yeah, he came real cheap. Coaches are real money, not like fake pieces of that family’s goddamn ethereal pie.

Without a doubt he will because it's more important for him to not lose money (or face) than change coaches.

It’s going to barely be a step above a Campo deal.

Schottenheimer can find another job as a coordinator, so he has more to fall back on than Campo did.

But no one but Dallas is in the market for Schottenheimer as a HC, so he’ll be among the lowest paid and least guaranteed HC’s in the league.

His deddy was a good coach, I don't feel completely hopeless with him at HC at the moment.

I'd probably rather have one of Parcells' daughters tho.

Truth of the matter is I just don't know yet. Once the seasons starts we will get to really see if the guy is a good coach or just a good speaker. He isn't a brilliant coordinator so a lot will depend on the coaches hired around him to really win the strategy game of the NFL.

We know.

Not only does he wear a visor but he also wears it backwards at times. Not good. Not good at all.
