Watched some clips of Toia against the Ravens and I actually really liked what I saw. Very stout dude.

I have a little hope for him, but a lot of these late round pet cats seem to fade away so I'm not going to get my hopes up too much.

I don't know how good he was, but he was a lot better than the first game. Which makes total sense for a rookie.

He was, I watched a Voch breakdown and he actually did a pretty impressive job eating the double teams. He isn't going to do flashy shit but in terms of allowing LBers to run free and set the line of scrimmage he did a really good job.

Now it was against backups but shit you had Mazi out there running like a chicken with his head cutoff and no idea what to do.

Toia just understands the job of a run stuffer and does it very well. Mazi looks like he wants to be a play maker without any of the skills to do it.

This seemed like a good idea at the time.

The problem is that a pick that's likely going to be in the 20s and maybe late 20s is extremely unlikely to put them in a position for a generation type QB.
They could use the 1sts along with 2027 picks to trade up…there should still be enough ammo there to grab a good defender along with a QB.

I don't think there would be enough ammo unless our own pick was already pretty high (like top 10). If we're talking a generational QB, it would have to be a unique situation for most teams that are bad enough to be picking 1 or 2 to be willing to trade out at just about any price.

If they were, a couple of picks in the 20s probably isn't enough.

Yeah going into the first or second pick is brutal if you don't have a pick already in the top 10.
