If you don't love a good italian meal with pasta you are either a nutball or an uncultured swine who has never had good italian.
My mother made pasta way too often so as an adult i rarely ever want pasta

My mom made spaghetti every Wednesday night because it was easy and we had church on that day. No more pasta for me from the time I left their house.

Yeah I make my kids spaghetti.

I don't eat spaghetti. There are pastas I do like. But my kids don't like them. So I don't really eat much pasta.

That is the problem with regimented food. It makes you resent it, even if it is good.

My MiL makes the same stuff for breakfast each week. A different breakfast for each day but the same meals each week. She has done it for so long that her kid (even though she is special needs) doesn't know the days of the week she just calls it by the meal. For example days of the week include: Waffle Day, Breakfast Taco day, Biscuits and Gravy day, and so on.

I limit my Italian food to a copycat recipe for K&W baked spaghetti. I must admit it’s pretty damn good.

Pasta is one of those things that I like the idea more than I actually like it. Gnocchi is my go to when we have it. Spaghetti is just whatever for me no matter who cooks it.

Italian food is some of the best food out there.

Lasagna. Stuffed shells. Manicotti. Rotini with Italian sausage. Ziti. Fettuccine Alfredo. All tremendous.

It's way more than mere spaghetti or whatever.

I like tortellini best...

Also are toasted ravioli's pasta? Are they Italian? Or are they just some bastard creation by a drunk guy?

Yeah. It's good. Except that all that stuff is pretty similar, only presented differently in differently shaped pasta. Like I said earlier, the only big differences in Italian food is tomato based sauce, and a cream based sauce. Red sauce and white sauce. Served on a bunch of different types of pasta.

Doesn't nearly have the variety of other ethnic foods. To only name one, I'd take authentic Mexican food ten times out of ten over Italian.
