Not really interested in Oline high. But could be talked into it, only with a trade down to get another pick. But even then, I'd probably be looking more to a cornerback with that extra pick.
No, I meant a trade down in the second for Wilson.

Tyler Smith can't lead? That guy is awesome.

No way we'd take Zabel at 12. Has to be BS fed to her.

Who was the leader during the Jimmy years? Nate? Step? Big E? Tui? The mind wanders.

Just because he redshirted doesn’t mean he wasn’t there.

He ran a 4.4 which is fast but some scouts say it doesn’t translate. “Lacks top end speed to finish explosive plays” “ability to get to the edge in the run game is hit or miss” “average run power” “can be halted by arm tackles” “needs consistency” “ needs to work on ball security” “liability in pass protection”

I could be wrong, it happens. But we need someone that can pass protect. Our QB isn’t getting more sturdy as time passes. Plus this is at UCF. Not exactly stellar competition. This is someone who I would prefer in the 4th if no one better was there. I’d rather we take someone earlier that will contribute and possibly be a number 1 back. Even while we hope that they run more of a committee approach.
Yes, but you said 6th year senior and he’s a 5th year. Also, sooooo the Big 12 isn’t good competition now? Sure, it isn’t the SEC or Big 10 but those conferences are very top heavy. He shouldn’t be dinged cause he didn’t have the chance to run again Vandy and Miss St.

NY talk radio says Breece Hall is on the block. We should probably stick with a young cheap guy in the 2nd.

the O-line room needs a leader?

This may be one of the dumbest things I've heard. Smith is an elite all-pro. Bebee has high charecter, leadership written all over him. Steele has been here a long while. Frankly Hoffman's best quality is his leadership. And we are going to draft a guy to be an Oline leader as a rookie? A guy who is going to move positions?

The rumors are just getting retarded now.

Shoop is just wrong, the kid is fast and elusive. He runs with good power. He'd be on my list in the third round.

But honestly in this draft the amount of third/fourth round RBs is off the charts. Which is why we know some guys will fall to the fifth. It's all about style preference in my opinion. RJ Harvey is really good. And usually I shy away from the 24 year old rookies. But I'm sure he will last 4-5 years like the vast majority of RBs anyway. So I get the rookie contract out of him and probably move on.

Harvey is a good player. Ranked 93 on Brugler's board. But how high are you willing to take a 24 year old RB?
Shouldn't matter if you only expect 1 contract out of him like it seems to be favoring in the NFL these days.

I don't care one bit about the age. As Witten and Tyron showed, it's the not the years, it's the mileage.

Third round at most. If we had a fourth rounder I may be willing to wait until then to see what RB drops.

But let's face it, most draft picks won't be 4 year starters in the NFL. And half the ones that are we can't afford to resign anyway. So I'm good with that in the third round.

Better than spending a top 10 pick on a RB who burns out in 5 years anyway.

IMO, we have 4 starting holes: RB, WR, DT, and CB.
We have 3 premium picks.
If we can get starters at WR, DT, and CB, and get Hall as a rental with a late-round pick or late-round pick swap, I wouldn't mind.

He's a fourth rounder to me based on size and old age. But we have a Mingo with that pick.

I think going after Hall would be a mistake. We need a young stud with his entire career ahead of him, and this is the perfect draft class for that.

Hall is a good player but he's not a stud, he's going to be 24 at the start of the season, and most importantly he's going into the last year of his contract.

If we're worried about filling four holes, we should be trading down and picking up another premium pick. Not skipping out on RB.
