The mystery of pie continues to unfold…
I believe we have around $50M in space once you back out the Osa cap hit, which is about $6M. We'll see what happens but at the very least they have to be planning on signing a handful of average starter types like EJ Speed and DeMarcus Walker.

It's funny that Ernie got smacked, but who is Andrew Branham? A google search only shows stuff like a linkedin account where he says he's an accountant for the Dallas Cowboys that works in accounts payable. Or instagram accounts... twitter... facebook.

Not really a front office guy there, Andrew. While I sincerely doubt ol' Ernie knows what he's talking about in regards to team moves, I doubt just as much that Andrew the Accountant does either.

I was wondering if they'd be very happy with him commenting like that.

I mean, yeah, it's funny to smack the Ernster around, but he's almost saying the team won't do anything like usual there.

I listened to this interview and as usual I think it's a little different from the few quotes twitter picks out.

My takeaways: One, Jerry said we wouldn't have these "voids" after the draft. Which to me means they're planning on drafting for need again. And two (related), I was surprised he as much as said they're going to draft these positions. In fact right off the bat when talking about Osa, he said we think Smith will be what we want and we have that draft pick too.

So right now I'd bet on DT at 12. Maybe it doesn't matter, but I'm surprised he's telling rest of the NFL that. Yes he's a football moron, but even then I don't remember him broadcasting it like that before.

Oh, so in other words…the philosophy hasn’t changed a bit on how to construct an NFL roster for Jerry and Rosie. Full steam ahead following the same plan that hasn’t worked in 30 years.

Whew. Thank god.

For a moment there I thought I might have something to look forward to when football season starts up again.

O choose not to listen to a thing Jerry says. It's like trying to interpret a foreign language. But it wouldn't shock anyone in the world if we do nothing in free agency.

What's weird is, for the longest time we did use FA to at least fill the biggest holes so we didn't have to totally reach in the draft. It was that way as far back as Ciskowski.

But then Cheap Son took over. Plus just reading between the lines, I think Jerry resents these FAs making so much money. He still remembers when movies cost a quarter and a million dollars was a lot of money.
