Please explain to me why a government worker who has a security clearance would feel obligated to send his accomplishments to Musk, who is not cleared to review said employee's work summary.

The two government guys I work with in my building here said NAVAIR quickly followed Musk's email with their own, basically saying, "Don't bother answering that email".

I believe that the security thing was answered in the original email. I don't care if they answer to their boss instead, he is more than welcome to answer to his boss as well. The thing is they are simply trying to figure out who isn't doing anything. If they are taking care of whatever they are assigned to do it isn't an issue in the first place. You and I both know there are plenty that aren't doing a damned thing though. Honestly, I would assume they are already answering to someone with what they are accomplishing anyway. I had to when I was in the Navy, I have had to in some capacity since the first job I ever had for that matter, and I still do. It isn't difficult, it's the easiest thing I do all day.

Sort of feels like people are upset because they didn't actually accomplish anything at their job.

Call me crazy, but is Musk not doing the bidding of President Trump, who is their commander in chief? Is he not their boss?

So who are they to tell employees to ignore their boss?

Same here... I did it in the Navy, and I do it now as a contractor.

Difference is, if I sent my accomplishments to some fuckstick outside my organization I would be fired.

Didn't they already say that Musk isn't a government employee? Then how is Trump his boss? Bunch of fucking idiots.

Doge is now a governmental agency, right? So someone running it is a government employee.

And what makes Musk a "mental case?"

That's what I was going to ask.

From the NY Times:

Who Runs Elon Musk’s DOGE? Not Musk, the White House Says.
A White House official declared that Mr. Musk was not the administrator of the so-called Department of Government Efficiency. So who is?

Who, exactly, runs the so-called Department of Government Efficiency?

You might think it would be Elon Musk, the man who President Trump said “will lead the Department of Government Efficiency” alongside Vivek Ramaswamy, before Mr. Ramaswamy stepped away from it last month.

But when Mr. Trump set up the cost-cutting body in an executive order on his first day, the order did not say who its “administrator” would be. Section 3(b) of the order reads: “There shall be a USDS Administrator established in the Executive Office of the President who shall report to the White House Chief of Staff,” using the abbreviation for United States DOGE Service, the official name of the effort, which is not actually a cabinet-level department. Last week, White House representatives did not respond to repeated requests to identify that administrator.

Then on Monday evening, a White House official stated plainly that “Mr. Musk is not the U.S. DOGE Service Administrator.” The official, Joshua Fisher, made the statement in a declaration to a judge, U.S. District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan, who is hearing a case filed by Democratic attorneys general against Mr. Musk and the DOGE effort.

Mr. Fisher added that Mr. Musk was “an employee in the White House Office” and “not an employee of the U.S. DOGE Service.”

He's a mental case. The guy has no ability to be rational, he jumps around on a stage like a lunatic, cannot process any sort of critical thinking, the list goes on. Who the fuck sends some college dropouts into the IRS and other institutions to determine for him what needs to be cut? Only a fucking mental case. If Biden or Harris had done that, you'd be saying the same thing, and would be absolutely correct.

He's certainly unconventional but after decades of the same ole shit, I'm willing to give him a chance and I like seeing a guy who has some mother fucking energy.
