The Senior Bowl can do big things for a player. Especially a QB. Phillip Rivers used the Senior Bowl to become a high first round pick. Prior to that he wasn't in the discussion as a top 5 pick.

So sure, it's possible that Dart can push himself into the first round. Maybe even the top 15 picks. Hell last year I thought guys like Bo Nix and Penix were second round picks. Bo Nix I was especially down on. Just felt like a very manufactured college QB who lived off of short throws that made his stats look good.

Dart is a little like that for me. I don't think he ran a complicated offense in college, he threw to guys that were wide open. He wasn't really challenged mentally or physically in my opinion. But the Senior Bowl isn't going to do that either so maybe that's a good thing for him. Not complicated defense, simple reads and throws. IF the guy can throw accurate and show a strong arm he could definitely bump his stock up at something like that.
As long as the guy goes top 40 before our 2nd I'll be happy.

I like Bassa a lot in the 3rd range and Ezeiuraku is one of my top guys in the 2nd, although that'd be contingent on re-signing either Golston or Lawrence to eat up some of the run-based snaps on the edge alongside Kneeland.

I could easily see Conerly go top 10 over Banks or Campbell since he's kind of more the prototype LT than either of them are physically.

Conerly should pull away after this week. Banks has been massively overrated all along. Campbell is being sat on like Alt, much more sound player.

Something I really noticed watching the Senior Bowl was the ridiculous jumps they were allowing the o-lineman to get away with. During the drills the defenders were waiting for the snap and the O-lineman were already dropping back into their pass protection sets. Seemed a bit lopsided and unfair. I wish they would correct it so we could get a better judgment on these players.

A player I'm really excited to see at the Senior Bowl is Princely Umanmielen. Might be the most explosive pass rusher in this draft. His pass rush win rate in college was elite this past year. And prior to that at Florida it was elite. 6'4" 3/8 and 264 pounds is about as ideal as you can get.

He is kind of like Pearce JR. in that there are questions about him being a full time player. But he might be every bit the explosive pass rusher that Pearce is.

Told you guys this DL class, and the edges in particular, are extremely deep.

Unless a defensive player is the clear BPA at 12 I think we should be going offense.

I don't disagree. I just wish McMillan was going to be an option at 12. We will see if a WR emerges behind him. A guy like Egbuka could justify that type of a pick if he runs well for example.

I don't care what Burden runs. The only reason people put him that high is because they think he is an elite athlete. Otherwise what else do you consider on offense at 12? Obviously Jeanty is your flavor there. But if he is gone or you look at RB like you do on the D-line, there will be a lot of options later.

And I love Tyler Warren but TE at 12 just doesn't compute for me. I love a great TE but when it comes to drafting I've just never thought it was good value in the first.

Maybe they're just prepping them for Lane Johnson.

I would be shocked if there was a WR worthy of going that high, Warren is much more dynamic than Egbuka or Golden, and much more developed than a guy like Burden in my opinion.

I'm very curious to see if Warren's speed shows up in the testing because he looks like he has excellent speed for a TE, combined with elite size, elite 50/50 ability, all while being a good blocker.

I disagree that he is more dynamic. But that's because he is a TE. TE's just aren't as dynamic as guys that weight 50 pounds less than them. But that's not a knock on Warren, he is a lot bigger. Which makes him a bigger target, easier to out muscle defenders for the ball, and a better blocker. But when I think of Dynamic I think quickness, speed and ability to catch the ball and make something happen. He isn't as good as those other guys at that.

Which I think is why it's hard for me to stomach a TE at 12. Nothing against Warren, I think he is a beast. And he is a real bitch to tackle once the ball is in his hands because he runs really tough. He has great hands, size and everything else. I mean he was the entire Penn State passing attack. And that team was pretty good. I'm just not sure I'm ready to look at him and go, he would be a legit #2 receiver to Lamb. Because that's what we need on offense. We need a dynamic second weapon on offense. We have none.

Aren't one and three the same, just from a different camera angle?

So he got two reps?
