Who?
Woof.
That was everyone’s new OT hope getting thrashed.
Josh Conerly.Who?
Told you guys this dude might skyrocket after the Senior Bowl, I'd give him some light consideration at 12 depending on what these chucklefucks do in FA and what the board looks like.

He has been killing it.
Assuming we cheap out on Osa, I wonder if he wouldn't be a option for us. He feels like a really good 3 tech option who has strength along with the quickness and athleticism. He seems to have the right size although I don't know about the arm length measurements.
I'd prefer him after a trade down since there are several good options at DT who would likely be available in the 18-22 range (Harmon and Grant), but he'd make a lot of sense in that scenario.Assuming we cheap out on Osa, I wonder if he wouldn't be a option for us. Honestly that's why I want to sign guys like Osa, Lewis or Dowdle. You know we aren't going to go out and get a quality free agent instead. So at least keep the talent that you already have.I'd prefer him after a trade down since there are several good options at DT who would likely be available in the 18-22 range (Harmon and Grant), but he'd make a lot of sense in that scenario.
You'd hope that if they don't resign Osa they'd use the savings to fill another hole in FA, but you know how that goes.
Yeah, he's good. Maybe a little short in the arms, but makes up for it with good feet and a great motor. He's a good pass blocker, mirrors very well, but makes his money in the run game. When NDSU just had to have a yard or two, Zabel led the way. And besides the power game, he's also very good at picking up guys in the 2nd level. NDSU used him a lot pulling. If he had a weakness, I'd say it was going up against guys that play more the quickness game. He dominates in the power game, and relies on that a bit too much. Fires off the snap looking to maul, but if a guy doesn't immediately engage and tries to slip him with speed, he can get out over his feet and off balance. But I think that is an easily fixed problem with coaching.
I've heard Zach Martin comparisons. It seems kind of fitting. Just maybe a little lofty based on what Martin went on to do in the NFL. Still it appears to be rather fitting.Yeah, he's good. I would love to have him, but just don't see where we'd have a chance. I think he'll go somewhere early to middle 2nd. And we just don't have the luxury of taking him if he's there at our 2nd rounder. We have too many other holes to fill.
Yeah, I don't know about that. That's a pretty lofty comparison. But like Martin, Zabel will be a guard in the NFL. I think he's a plug and play guy that will be a good starter for a long time, injury willing.I've heard Zach Martin comparisons. It seems kind of fitting. I just watched the full practice for Nolen's squad today and I'm not seeing where people are so impressed with him. He didn't clearly win any of his 1-on-1's and was pretty quiet in the team drills.Assuming we cheap out on Osa, I wonder if he wouldn't be a option for us.
