So let me tell you how bad it was back then with this goof as HC.

This was back when I used to go to multiple games a year.

In 2001, I went to the game vs the 49ers. I was an insufferable homer back then so I hadn't yet become jaded, and I was still attending games.

Anyway, they weren't selling out games back then so they had a promo going on and Campo would come on the jumbotron as part of this promo.

And what did I see appear multiple times on the jumbotron at this 49ers game? The most amazing promo ever.

The name of the promo? "The cheap suite seats"

Texas Stadium used to have these random little spots where there were only two seats together, and those were the seats they were offering in the promo.

And what did the "cheap suite seats" include?

Two tickets, 2 beverages, 2 hotdogs.... FOR 55 BUCKS!!!



With Campo 2.0 coming, I can't wait to see this bitch ass family offering promos to fill seats again when fans check out like they did back then.

Eberflus was brought up early by some media person (forget which one) and was told that Eberflus want in the mix for either position.

I think he’s just saying that Schottenheimer is more qualified and credentialed than Campo was when we made him HC. Each was/would be a sheer comfort move.

Ravi, you're a smart guy who knows his Cowboys history so you know like I do that they are absolutely comparable in the sense that you have two guys who NOBODY was trying to make their head coach and are going to be the lowest paid HC in football.

Campo and Schottenheimer are getting the gig for the exact same reasons.

And for as much as we all make fun of Campo, he was the the DC for the 95 Cowboys was he not?

And the 95 Dallas Cowboys defense was the #1 defense in all of football -- a SB winning defense at that.

So if anything, you could say Campo was more qualified to get a gig before Schottenheimer, but that's grasping at straws.

They're both total shit candidates who have no business being given that responsibility.
