According to Grok:

During a government shutdown, the military typically faces a situation where active-duty service members are required to continue working but might not receive their paychecks until funding is restored. Historically, Congress has passed specific legislation to ensure military personnel are paid during shutdowns, as seen in the shutdowns of 1995-1996, 2013, and 2018-2019. However, there's no guarantee this will happen automatically in any future shutdown...

They definitely should and probably will pay the military if the government is shut down.

Why should the Rs be blamed for a shutdown anyway? The Dems are the ones who put all that ridiculous pork in it. Just take that out and make it a clean CR and it'll be passed.

Just before New Year's is surprising. I thought they do pretty well for that holiday.
The stores will still be open until Feb 1st. All the US stores will remain open until then. Just corporate employees got the axe so far.

Sucks that many people will be out of work, but nice that they will at least have a little over a month to find something else. Losing a paycheck at Christmas would sure suck.
