Anyone know if there's a reason that Dallas hasn't been considered for another Super Bowl?

I'm actually fine with them not being the host city.....because fuck Jerry Jones. But it sure feels like Dallas has been blacklisted when you see a city like Atlanta get two Super Bowls within a 10 year period.

That freak ice storm for the first one was a gift from the heavens.

That was a nightmare for all involved. But it can't be just that. Dallas has weather like that maybe once a decade.

Atlanta would be in the same boat if a freak ice storm hit there. About 10 years ago a snow storm that cities in the northeast would've laughed at, completely crippled Atlanta.

Totally true, but so many of the out of town media complained about it, I think that left an impression.

Plus, I remember complaints that the media had to drive 20 miles to Dallas or Ft Worth with not enough in Arlington, though that situation is probably better now.

The real reason might be that Jerry tried to get Goodell fired and Roger hasn't forgotten it.

I think it was just a combination of so many things going wrong that weekend, some of which was the organization's fault and some of it was not, but it's was one of the more poorly organized Super Bowl experiences in recent memory.

And when you couple that with Jerry trying to get Goodell ousted from being commissioner, I think it becomes more clear as to why a Super Bowl hasn't returned to Dallas.

Yeah, I think that's a major reason too.

That and the fans with fake tickets made for one big debacle.
And I forgot about this until now, but didn't some of those bleachers they brought in to break the attendance record collapse or something?

But yeah, my money is it's mostly the Goodell feud.

Man, I do vaguely remember something like that happening.

What I do remember, though, is that so many things just went wrong that weekend starting with the awful weather.

Sucks for the city of Dallas, but it serves Jerry right. He won't live to see another Super Bowl hosted in his stadium.

A lot of money for 4 regular season games.

Surely means Jacksonville’s getting another Super Bowl ~2030
Plus the UGA/Florida game every year...

I had to look it up... The temporary bleachers were deemed so unsafe that over 1000 fans that paid a fortune for their tickets (and probably had to travel there) had to have their money refunded.

This can't be. We all know full well that "all in" means to do absolutely nothing.

And the Bills also have very little pie. Surely this is impossible.
