This.

He needs to stop falling for fake news, but he's too old to change.
And if the Democrats had people other than the Cryptkeeper and The Airhead going against him, they’d likely be winning by a large margin.

But, by that same token, if the Republicans had anyone other than Trump, they’d win in a landslide.

Not for people working tons of overtime to try to pay their bills.
I have no idea if it's possible but I think it's a legit fair thing to do. It's sort of like it pisses me off with child support when a parent is working 60 hours a week just to get ahead and the other parent just tries to up the child support as a result of it.

Like hey, don't work hard to get ahead. Just go ahead and be lazy because we will probably tax you even more if you work your ass off on over time or work a second job to make ends meet.

No one who is rich is getting paid hourly anyway. Or at least they aren't getting rich off their hourly wage. But I also have no idea how you'd enforce something like that. I imagine it would be easier than not Taxing tips.

Good post, and she sounds completely credible.

And that's the real point anyway. Even if they aren't eating the dogs, why are the Feds dumping 20k Haitian immigrants onto a small poorish Ohio town? Remember when the Martha's Vineyard elites couldn't handle 48 immigrants bused in and booted them all out ASAP?

But I'm sure the NYT and Washington Post will give her 12 Pinocchios... Until 2025 when they admit on page 16 that it's true.

Can he pass this? Nope.
Probably has a better chance than the bullshit Cackler is throwing out there. Building 3 million homes has ZERO chance of happening whether it goes thru Congress or not. Same with 25g for first time home buyers.

We definitely need more housing. But having government build it sounds about as dumb and inefficient as possible. I'd love to hear how we will accomplish 3 million new homes. And tell me again why all the illegals in the country aren't part of the cause of the housing crisis? Sure seems to me millions of people with no home and needing a home pouring into the country could impact this.

And giving away 25g without the supply would do nothing except increase home prices.

You aren't supposed to notice or think about these things.

Yeah, I found this to be pretty honest and straight forward. Could it be fake? Sure I guess, but when people post fake stuff they usually go outlandish in an attempt to get more attention. This is probably the most credible thing I have seen.

Here's another one I found who sounds credible. He confirms that they are eating the geese but has no firsthand knowledge of them eating cats and dogs, though he has heard the rumors locally.

I’ll be he first to admit Trump comes up with stupid shit. Truth be told, both parties are downright atrocious. But some stuff is indefensible. The 3M homes thing is so ridiculous…first of all, you need land to build the 3M homes and most importantly the labor. Labor is at an all time shortage in the construction industry and has been for 6-7 years now. Land is almost nonexistent, especially if you are building anything in the hotbed states where everyone is wanting to move. I mean, WTF are they going to do…build millions of homes in blue areas where everyone is mass exiting? It sounds like something the govt would fund.

Yeah this is the problem with Harris. She actually has no plan. I don't see a great way to increase the supply on homes unless they can motivate the private construction industry in some capacity. I mean regulation I'm sure slows home production immensely but that's something controlled by the state and not federally, (At least that I know of) I guess you could provide some sort of tax incentive for companies that manufacture homes. Some sort of a flat incentive per home might motivate builders to try to build as many homes as possible.

But again, you've got supply chain issues and labor issues. I will say it's historically a good industry for a lot of illegal immigrants... So it's probably a situation where many of the immigrants would be able to work. Of course all this of course would bring concerns about the quality of the homes and if they are really safe and up to code.

Anyway, my point being she has no plan. Give me how you will accomplish this? I totally agree we need more supply in the housing market. I'm secure in my home and have no worries but I do worry about people out there who want to buy a home. It's just not feasible when shitholes are going for 250,000-300,000. And frankly we can all brag about how much the value of our homes have gone up but it means nothing when you know if you sell your home you'll be paying a small fortune to try to upgrade or move up.

One need to look no further than YouTube to see the kind of shit you get from the giant box builders (Lennar, DR Horton, Pulte, etc) and the overpriced junk they are literally throwing up. I mean real issues…studs not plumb or cut 2” short, plywood not nailed on the roof, plumbing lines not glued, wiring that is 2 gauges below acceptable practices, drywall that’s not even taped in some areas, stone facades that fell over on their own…shit that’s not even believable.

The other issue is the building depts are massively understaffed. Inspectors are down 10-1 in some areas, building permits are 8-15 months behind in FL, SC and some areas of TX. The federal govt can incentivize all they want, the skilled labor nor the white collar labor is out there to keep up the demand in place now let alone 3 million more homes under govt supervision.
