Yeah, does this mean they know Watson will play?

Because we may not be the 85 Bears, but I would damn sure expect us to beat Famous Jameis Winston.

I don't understand why they'd do that. Doesn't this tie them to him even longer? I'd think they'd want out ASAP.
They are moving money around to make up for that poorly structured original one. You will likely never ever see a contract that bad ever again.

Hard to say, maybe they are gearing up to spend big next offseason. Or maybe they just like having extra flexibility. Either way, it has zero impact until they go on a spending spree.

All they are doing is giving themselves the cap room now that they would instead have 1, 2, 3 years from now.

Right, but that means that his cap hit remains high in future years, when they could have eaten up a chunk of it this year. It makes him more expensive to cut in the future. Although since it's fully guaranteed maybe they never intended on ever cutting him anyway.
