Now if he brings Alabama's O-line from the past two years and their stable of RB's Michigan is good to go.

I have to think Devin Gardner moves back to WR then. Nussmeier is a pro style, smashmouth, balanced attack guy, no?
Two of our RB prospects had full scholarship offers from Bama, Tony. As did two of our offensive linemen, a WR, and our freshman QB.

Deuce, we've been on this kid for months. He has been a silent commit for a while since he visited. His primary recruiter won the battle.

Still, it is recruiting and I never feel safe until February-mas.

Then that's good news. I love silent commits when they work out. We supposedly have 3.

I liked this kid on tape when I watched him a few months ago. UCF made him an offer but I'm not sure if it was commitable or not. Either way, one pause I have is a 5'8 DB. I don't know many that work out at that size.

He's certainly small. I think there are more 5'8" CBs playing at that level than we realize. Of course I'd rather have a 6' kid with the same skills but those are rare. Last season we had some really small CBs that lead the Big 12 in pass defense. One of them was 5'7".

Our DB class is really strong with a few really good sized kids, so there's that...

Speed....especially recovery speed matters more in college IMO...he will probably be fine.

The kid has some pretty intense closing speed and is a straight up baller. I ain't worried about it.

Kiffin going to Alabama will be good for him. He's in a position where he can finally learn how to coach and run a team.

So the next time he's handed the keys to a Porsche he won't crash it.

I know everyone hates the dude but I think this move will help both parties involved.

Will he get another HC job? He's already ruined 3.

I could say the same thing about Notre Dame for most of our guys, but we have no talent in South Bend.

Sinking ship and you know it. Nussmeier will be there one year because Hoke is gone after another season like this past one.

How can anyone listen to Petrino without falling asleep.

Wow is he a bore.
His press conferences are amazing sleep aids. You should check out his coach's show sometimes.

"We tried to run the ball here." "Good job by 34 there" "That was a pass."

Alabama has hired Lane Kiffin as the Tide's new offensive coordinator, sources told ESPN.com.
Kiffin was fired as USC's head coach in late September after a 62-41 loss at Arizona State. He registered a 28-15 record with the Trojans following a one-year stint at Tennessee, where he was 7-6.
The 38-year-old Kiffin visited with Alabama coach Nick Saban before the Allstate Sugar Bowl "to share ideas and exchange ideas ... [for] professional development," Saban said at the time.
"Lane is a really good offensive coach, and I've always had a tremendous amount of respect for him," Saban said then. "Just to come in and brainstorm a little bit to get some professional ideas with our guys is a really positive thing."

Done deal.

The Kiffin hire is really surprising to me. I have been out of pocket some. Where did Sabin go?

I give Kiffin credit, he somehow figured out how to score points with Leinart, Bush, White, Jarrett, and Smith.
