I just found out one of the main henchmen in Bullet Train is the nerdy kid who was the main character in the Kick-Ass movies.

Watched Total Recall from 1990. I don't think I've seen the whole thing since I saw it in the theater back in the day. Not the best movie ever, but I kind of forgot it was that good. Didn't remember it was that violent, either (same director as Robocop).

I think back in the day I couldn't get that into it because I thought it was obvious the whole thing was a dream. I mean, the girl is exactly the girl he asks for and her face is on the screen before they shoot him up. Anyone think it wasn't a dream? The only small clue I can even think of is Sharon Stone acting strange before he goes, but that could be explained by his obsession with Mars.

I loved that movie.

I don't have a definitive conclusion of whether it was a program or not, I don't think it was obvious either way.

After I posted that, I found all kinds of discussion on Reddit about it, even all these years later. Seems most people think it was the Rekall implant... One thing I forgot was the tech saying as they're strapping him in, "Blue skies on Mars, that's different." And of course that's how the movie ends. But it is a fun question.

Personally I think the entire thing was a fantasy, because jackhammer laborers don't end up with Sharon Stones. :unsure
