He said the economy is great. Took everything I could to not lose a friend at that moment. He moved to the Seattle area though and works in a hospital. So I doubt he really has any idea what normal people are dealing with.

The stock market is doing great because that's what all the handouts they handed out do for an economy: Poor people spend it and it ends up in the hands of the capitalists.

Poor people don't know how to save, invest, and generate wealth. That's why bottom-up economic policies don't work.

Asset generation policies are what works. We need to make more stuff. That's how everyone gets better off.

But anyway, aside from the stock market being up, there's not a damn thing about the economy that's good. Inflation is even back on the rise.
