“We’ve put a lot of effort in training as a franchise into Jason Garrett, and I want to take advantage of that,” Jones said. “If we don’t have him, we don’t get payback for all the miscues and losses and criticism of sideline management. We don’t get a chance to benefit from the one way you learn, and that is the mistakes you make. So I want to have him around to learn. I’ve seen another smart coach, a very smart coach, learn from a lot of mistakes early and go on and win Super Bowls. Most of them do.”
Honestly, I thought this was made up when I first read it, that's how unbelievable it is. Then I googled it and there it was, plain as day in some DFW area article.

Jerry is so far gone that there is no hope, if we had won last night or Garrett somehow lucks into making the playoffs next year, I'm thinking that buys him at least 2 more seasons.

I saw that quote at the Zone. Scary isn't it?

Here's the kicker. Garrett's not learning from these mistakes. Can anyone honestly name one thing he does better now than he did in 2011?

This quote is something the media needs to bash him over the head with.

I would also like someone to ask Garrett about this and how it feels to wear a trainee badge.

Norv/Frasier combo might be the best possible solution but damn that is still uninspiring.
Norv's O is way outdated.

Look at how Rivers has shined since Norv left. Shit, look how the Chargers have done since he's left.

We need a new OC, and a kick ass DC. Hopefully that would make up for Mr Roboto looking lost on the sidelines.

Its funny how coaches like Harbaugh didn't need time to correct their mistakes....mainly because they didn't make the boneheaded ones Garrett made.

This team is fucking disgusting.

Garrett will never learn clock management skills. Some coaches know how to win close games by milking the clock just enough at the right times. Garrett has absolutely no feel for that. No one can use the run game as an excuse this year when your star RB is getting over 5 yards a pop.

Coaches like Harbaugh also had experience. Experience as a HC and dealing with these situations which caused their teams to win games. Garrett still has his training wheels on.

The Chargers got lucky to beat a Chiefs team that was sitting it's starters to finish 9-7. Pretty much the same place they were during Norval's last three years. As for Philips shining, he was better than last year, certainly. But pretty much the same as the seasons prior with Norv.

Really, not much difference.

Yep. I'm tired of looking backwards. We need to stop with the offenses and defenses whose best days are 10-15 years ago. That is what brought us Kiffin. We need some forward thinking and innovation.
