I feel good though. Who am I kidding? I woke up at 5am this morning and told Smitty to fuck off and not even sure why.

Losing to the 49ers, fine. But getting humiliated by these Packers? Infuriating.

Even still you need a replacement before you make that trade, and Lance isn’t it.
No you don't, and Lance is it. Not long term, but he's a good bridge because he's cheap and easy to move on from, and also likely to tank and get us a top pick to try to get a QB.

The Rams traded all that for him because they knew he was the real deal and they had a team poised to win it all.

A team that was smart enough to have built a winner and is only a QB away isn’t likely to trade that much for Dak.

You are selling this short.

And your second paragraph contradicts your first paragraph. The Rams were literally that team.

Stafford is a better pure passer than Dak. Without weapons post-Calvin Johnson, Stafford didn’t go into a shell like Prescott did when Zeke went out and pre-Amari Cooper.

Stafford was viewed as a QB that never got a chance in Detroit at time of trade. Prescott right now is damaged, a proven three-straight years playoff disappointment.

No way Prescott’s trade value equals Staffords.

Moot anyway as Prescotts not getting traded, but welcome to offseason chatter mode

You are way over evaluating Stafford in retrospect. He had zero playoff wins and was three years older than Dak is now. A lot of people thought he put up empty stats and wasn't a winner. Sounds familiar.

I remember Stafford was a topic around here prior to him being traded and a lot of people here didn't want anything to do with him.

This wide 9 though, or at least similar. The criticism is definitely that it can be run on, but coaches have made it work.
I hate to say it but maybe a little change is a good thing. The players love Quinn and I have appreciated all he has done for the defense. But maybe a little shakeup is a good thing. We haven't really gotten the production this year out of his young draft picks and I worry a little that a guy voice is sort of lost over time with players.

If he comes back great, maybe he will go back to the drawing board a bit. If he doesn't, I'm ok with that too. Go find a guy who can get these guys in line.
