I do it. It’s trade time . Bite the QB bullet and draft a running back.
I'm not against trading him at all. My only question was how much we'd receive in return for a QB with only 1 year remaining on his contract.

That depends on if he's willing to extend his contract and what he'd be asking for.

The 49ers aggressively pursued a replacement at QB and found one. The Packers drafted their starter’s replacement even though they knew it would piss him off. You can bet the Steelers won’t stay with Pickett for long either.

The 49ers made several desperate moves to find one and then lucked into Purdy when their other moves didn't work.

Love hasn't proven shit yet despite the narrative. There's zero evidence he's any better than Dak.

The Steelers are going into year 3 post Roethlisburger without any clear path for a solution.

And Shannahan doesn't need much out of a QB to make his system work, that situation isn't comparable for 90% of the league.

Those can be waived. I’d expect that he’d be willing to waive it if he knew he was getting a massive extension from the new team.
Yep. If he and his agent were convinced he'd peaked here and a huge part of this fan base was sick of him, I bet he'd accept a new team.

Look at how Goff is being loved in Detroit right now.

From the hip, won’t hold you to it. What’re the chances Dak Prescott is our 2024 starter and McCarthy is HC

Prescott: 90%
McCarthy: 35%

Same with Stafford in L.A. My house in L.A. is literally 7 minutes away from his. He’s loved out there.

Shit.
Dak 100%
McCarthy 15%

Jerry won’t give up on Dak…he's been too busy telling anyone who’ll listen that Dak is a SB QB for the last 9 years.
Jerry’s too afraid he’ll look like a moron if he sends him packing. Unfortunately for us, Jerry looks like a moron ALL the time, and everyone in the NFL knows he’s a laughingstock as a “GM”.

By the way the Lions got 3 first round picks plus a starting QB for Stafford just a couple years ago. Stafford was 33.

You can't tell me Stafford had a better career in Detroit than Dak has had in Dallas.

There's no reason outside of the idiots that run the team that we couldn't get a similar or better haul for Dak.
The Rams traded all that for him because they knew he was the real deal and they had a team poised to win it all.

A team that was smart enough to have built a winner and is only a QB away isn’t likely to trade that much for Dak.

But… you could still get quite a bit for him from a dumb team, in the range of 1-2 first round picks.

Even still you need a replacement before you make that trade, and Lance isn’t it.

Yesterday was all the evidence anyone needs to prove Love is better already. Dak Prescount is sitting at home while Love is playing on. All the statistical comparisons before the game where Dak was 1 and Love 2… well it was clear those are old news. Love has passed him.

The Steelers keep making the playoffs, and have played in just as many Championship games as we have despite our having Dak.
