I believe the NFL uses the Super Bowl to persuade cities to pony up big money to build the stadium. However, Buffalo’s new stadium won’t have a roof.Minny got one, is Buffalo that much worse?
If they didn't, my money would be on it being because they didn't have the infrastructure for the media hordes.
I think it's supposed to keep snowing through Monday, not as hard but it'll still be snowing to some extent.Forecast from the Buffalo NWS, which is the most accurate and non-hyped:
National Weather Service
forecast.weather.gov
Sunday: 5 to 9 inches of new snow. High of 24, low of 12.
Is that so extreme?
Minny has a roof and the city's hotels and restaurants can accommodate a huge influx of people. Not so Buffalo.Minny got one, is Buffalo that much worse?
Looks like a real dump!
Wait’ll you see the patio out back.Looks like a real dump!
What a novel idea, having the teams who will be playing in the NFCC playing the divisional round on the same day so nobody has an advantage.
Feh. I’ve heard enough of the Cowboys-are-due parallels.
BUffalo gets that lake effect shit every year. They are more than used to getting around in it. I lived there for a year. This is the very thing that convinced me to get my fat southern ass back to Texas. That's a ton for us southerners, sure. But they're used to it up there. In Colorado this is relatively commonplace.
Didn't take you long to find the gay part of town did it?
In Ohio anything over 3 inches is F it I’ll stay home until the road crews have a chance to get out but I have driven a front wheel drive through 6-9 inches coming down and didn’t die.And maybe it is?
I wouldn't know as I live in Texas but 9 inches of snow piling up doesn't sound easy to get through or clear in time for people to get to and from the stadium.
Am I wrong?
Yep. The idiots that like to show up with no shirt during these games will run for cover when they get macho about the weather this week. The fans up north are primarily the ones that get crazy about open stadiums and advocates of bad weather conditions and bragg about weather factors. They should get frost bite and that might wake up their brain about having stadiums that allow for best game conditions for fans and players.Great point.
There should always be a roof, IMO.
If you're a team that lives in a city that feels like the climate can give you an advantage, then you should be allowed to keep the roof open except for the most extreme conditions, that way you can still play "outside" but also have to means to avoid cancellations and postponements.
