That first one is kind of shocking to hear. :unsure

I was watching some Sanford and Son on the Roku the other night -- still hilarious -- and on one episode Fred let a bunch if n-words go. That was kind of shocking, too, that they still aired that in this day and age.

They used racists words regularly on the Jeffersons as well. The 70s were a wild time, so I've been told.

The Jeffersons, Three's Company, All In The Family etc. were not afraid to touch on taboo topics.

I don't know which show it was, but even back then it was a thing how black folks graded their skin color against a paper bag.

Then the 1980s hit and we got Bill Cosby trying to be a white guy and the progress made was ruined.

Thankfully Married With Children came along to put the American family sitcom back on the right track.

I only saw those shows in syndication in the 80s... I wonder if they were taken out even then. I watched a lot of S&S and especially a ton of The Jeffersons and even though I was young, I think I'd remember that. But maybe not?

Imagine the Armageddon survivors trying to figure out what the hell those things are...
