That is him sitting it out because he hates it there.
Washing is the NFL wasteland, where players get massive contracts and nothing is really expected of them because there is no talent around them. The perfect early retirement situation.

If I were a Redskins fan I'd want no part of winning this game. You need a franchise QB in the worst way with the possibility of having the second pick in the draft. In no way does winning this game benefit their team. They are going to be in full tear down and rebuild mode this offseason. Why risk your draft capital to give guys who aren't long for your team some sort of moral victory.

With that being said, I'm sure they will give it there all. Their players and coaches don't care about the future because most of them won't be a part of that future. They aren't looking at this and going, we could lose our shot at Drake Maye for example. Because they won't be around to see Drake Maye. Or at least most of them won't.

Isn't that one of those injuries where it's actually better if it tears completely?

Also, dude looks like a huge Amari Cooper.
Thats what they say, that it is less painful with a complete tear. Strange.

He does have Amari face.

In the same vein, if I were a player, I'd hate to risk an injury in a meaningless game, especially if I were going to be looking for a new team in the off-season.

I don’t sense there is loyalty to Rivera at all.

I think how hardcore Redskins fans feel.

I would hope they are expecting a franchise enema.

Good to see the beat writers are following the tried and true social media strategy of gaslighting people to generate clicks.
