Meh. Been there. Done that.

It won't force change, at least not substantial change.
It still is the only thing I can get from it. You will let me have this.

But as Booze mentioned, Jerry has stated that he embraces the hate. Absolutely loves it.

I wonder if old Mo Claiborne will actually make it to kickoff w/o re-injuring himself.

Good old Dr. Jerry: "It wasn't an injury. His back just tightened up a little bit."

We need Carr and Scandrick to be at the top of their game today.

Typically you'd say getting pressure on the QB as being the key to victory but I'm being realistic. The Cowboys defense probably won't sniff Foles at all today. It is what it is.

If we're lucky they may luck into 1 or 2 coverage sacks but that's about it.

That's why I think the CBs need to be at the top of their game today. They're the strength of this defense.

We need to blitz the shit out of them, and install blitzes and coverages that we haven't shown this season. That's what a good coach would do. That's what Haslet did to us last year and it won them the game.

Yeah, if anything...and this is sad to say because it validates Garrett...would be cool to go down swinging.

I kind of expect a good game, but then again, it could be one of those games like the Chicago game where we look great on the first drive and then get slaughtered.

That's exactly how I see it playing out.

I would not do the blitz thing, mainly because Kiffin does not believe in it and we suck at it.

What helped in the first game is that it was the first time we used dime subpackages all year. Won't have that luxury this time.

Not me.

I will watch until the bitter end. I want to see the shots of Jerry, Stephen and the ginger grandson looking all glum and shit.

I do have a prediction...Jerry will make his way to the sidelines at some point.

Just have that feeling after he threatened it earlier in the year.

I'd watch to the bitter end if it was anybody but Philly. I can't stand watching them beat the piss out of us and them celebrating and Jackson hot dogging and so forth. Can't do it.

I doubt blitzing will work but it gives us a fighting chance rather than sitting back and getting killed anyway. At least a blitz or two might force a punt or a turnover or something.

The other thing is they have to stop McCoy at all costs.

Bad Brad paved the way for Orton

By Matt Mosely

At some point between practices and film sessions this week, Dallas Cowboys backup quarterback Kyle Orton should give a shout out to Brad Johnson. The fact Johnson did such a miserable job in place of Tony Romo when he broke his pinkie finger in 2008 is a big reason why Orton ranks among the highest paid backups in the league.

I recall hearing at the time that Jerry Jones was furious that someone had convinced him that Johnson could still be a serviceable backup in the league. And that's why he didn't mind being criticized for paying Orton a $5 million signing bonus as part of a three-year, $10.5 million free-agent contract before the 2012 season. Orton probably could've become a starter for another team based on his decent track record (35-34), but he chose the security that Jones was offering.

http://www.foxsportssouthwest.com/mobile/story/bad-brad-paved-the-way-for-orton?blockID=974553&feedID=3799

----------------------------------

And he wonders why no one respects him as a GM. He lacks the football intelligence to formulate opinions for himself, then blames others once those bad decisions don't pan out. Everyone knew Brad Johnson was done prior to the 2008 season.

The same will happen with Escobar. Someone will catch heat for convincing Jerry to draft a backup TE in round 2. However in reality the GM should have enough knowledge to know that burning a 2nd round pick on a TE with an average skill set is a bad/risky move.

The wrong people are catching heat, apparently, since it was Garrett that wanted Brad Johnson and it was Garrett that wanted Escobar. And yet it's Garrett that's still here.

I think it's funny how the NFLN always runs a Cowboys bit right at 11 to try to keep people from switching to Fox.

How come none of the pregame shows are breaking down the Redskins-Giants game?

If I had to guess I'd say that roughly 65% of the talk on the pregame shows so far (NFLN & ESPN) has been about Cowboys-Eagles and Bears-Packers.

But, they do it every week. Regardless of how big the game is.
