It's crazy to me how coaches in the NFL today struggle so much with situational football....like the most fundamental and common sense sort of situations.

For example, the general rule of thumb for a situation should be that you go for it IF a conversion leads to extending possessions, not the lead -- there's a difference.

I get that you would rather be up by 21 than by 17, but it's still a three possession game either way. There's no real need to bypass the FG there.

And any time that you have an opportunity to extend the amount of possessions a team needs to catch you, you take it every time.

And the Packers had a chance to take a two possession lead and make it a three possession lead and that's why they should have kicked the field goal.
