It's a little bit of a read, but I have been here and witnessed the changing of the guard and it is impressive as hell. The only thing this tweet left out was the fact that the incoming guard gets inspected by the outgoing guard. It is really cool.

During the season I would only buy USA Today on Monday (for Sundays games stats) and Thursday (for updated season stats). True story bro.
I had to rely on my local paper. I bet I had a 5 year winning streak in getting the paper from the driveway.

I lived in Abilene and eventually got a subscription to the Dallas Morning News.

Well I was staying in barracks and eating at the galley so I didn't get any COMRATS (food allowance) or what we called BAQ/VHA (housing allowance), plus I was paying into my GI bill and savings bonds at the time so... mid 80's as an E-1 or E-2 that was my paycheck.
