I figured we could bring all of the election chatter into a single thread. Let's do this. Do the Republicans maintain a hold on both sides of Congress or do the Democrats take over the Senate? We will find out tonight.

:lol

That is perfect.

Couldnt vote Abbot....

Kentucky is a bit of a surprise so far. We will see how it ends up.

Florida doesn’t seem to be monkeying this up.

Yep, Senate seat flipped for the Rs there. I’m not sure why Fox is showing a big percentage that the House flips.

The Dems have work to do tonight. It’s totally doable, and probably a certainty they get the seats needed for the house, but not as easily as they thought.

I think they take the house but we keep the senate, which is fine with me. We weren't getting anything passed of meaning when we did have it anyway and Mitch gets to keep packing the courts

How in the hell did Beto lose? Oh man, maybe a rollerblader next time?

If you turn on CNN they are celebrating Democrats retaking the House like their revolution has succeeded.

Look, I get it, it's nice that since you hate Trump so much you now have a check you didn't have before.

But to gloss over the fact that Republicans are gaining seats in the Senate (CNN explanation: It was a bad map for Dems) is to really misinterpret tonight.

Yeah, it was a bad map for Dems, but they lost every toss up in the Senate.

They are winning most toss ups in the House.... where it was a bad map for Republicans.

This isn't anywhere close to the massive defeats for the in-power party of 1994, 2006, 2010, and 2016.
