2022 Season | Week 17 | Gameday Chatter Thread | Cowboys @ Titans | 12/29/2022

Interesting to see how these guys looked coming off the field.

I paid attention to Biadasz in the boot and especially Parsons, who quite simply looks exhausted.

And you think Biadasz walking up a ramp by himself like an hour after the injury isn't a good sign for him playing in 2 weeks?

I'd be pretty surprised if he didn't at this point unless it gets worse a day or two later for whatever reason.

Random Thoughts:
-Hilton needs to take like all of Brown's snaps once we get to the playoffs. Brown has his role here and there, and he's useful blocking in the run game, but the guy is starting to drop easy balls on a weekly basis while Hilton is starting to flash. Yesterday Brown played 59% of the snaps while Hilton played 28%, that's going to have to flip.
half the snaps and 4 times the production. Hilton seems to be on pace to shove Brown aside just in time.

Looked to me like Quinn was rotating the LB's just to see what would stick given how shaky they've been. It's pretty astounding that we miss LVE this much and highlights the need to re-sign him.
When LVE is your best linebacker, better get busy on draft day. That said, The Brain Trust passed on 4 other 1st round picks to take LVE.

Part of me thinks it's better that we play Tampa since these morons would almost certainly underestimate Carolina, whereas Tampa would definitely have their attention.

But then the other part of me thinks, Sam Darnold.
I get what you are saying. They can run the ball like we wished we could. And Darnold has actually stabilized a little bit.

Say that reminds me, we were the last team he just lit up.

Yea it's a weird situation, I'm not going to complain if it's Carolina but I don't think it makes a bunch of difference either way. I'd probably be slightly more confident against Carolina since you don't have the looming spectre of Brady, but ultimately we should beat either team by 7-10.

I'd absolutely rather play Tampa.

Carolina's rushing attack and Darnold's mobility would give the Cowboys' defense problems.

I'm going to trust that the shitty Bucs offense that's been on display practically all of 2022 will continue to struggle throughout the playoffs.

Yea Diggs matches up well with Evans too, just have to contain Godwin out of the slot and finding little pockets over the middle.

The only way they moved the ball against us the first time was with perimeter runs, jet sweeps and such, get that under control and it'll be goodnight for their offense.

I also tend to think it's better if the Eagles just win today and we shut it down for a week. If they lose you know the asshole league is going to make us play Saturday to make sure the game has all it's drama with us still playing for the division, then ultimately the Eagles will just roast the Giants the next day who likely won't have anything to play for assuming they beat the Colts today.

If the Colts can somehow win today that changes my mind.

Hurts is officially inactive.

Minshew getting his 2nd start of the season as expected.

So, who all is going to be chattering during the Saints/Eagles game?
