2022 Season | Week 17 | Gameday Chatter Thread | Cowboys @ Titans | 12/29/2022

Don't you know that according to the new Websters, anyone who is against mandates is in fact anti-vax. :lol
I have heard. This narrative got way out of hand really fast.

Yeah, once you're intubated odds are very long. Afraid this will be called in another day or two, probably whenever the family decides.
The league is shitting themselves as this goes on. Spin machine in high gear.

Not necessarily... I was intubated for 10 days back in 2011 and I made a full recovery.
Damn... Congrats. I think you beat the odds.

BTW, if anyone (like me) is wondering how the Raiders-Niners game was even close... it's on NFLN right now.

I have a crush on Stidham. He threw the fake ending INT obviously, but the Raiders had no business being in that game and he was largely the reason they were.

I remember him as a highly recruited Texas QB who went to Baylor but I thought he was pretty meh at Auburn. I wonder what happened to him at New England for them to let him go.

He never really got a shot in NE, but when he did play it was pretty underwhelming. You almost have to be Tom Brady to make a go of it there. They never have any WRs.

Matt Jones will be washed out, same with Bailey Zappe. They just don’t believe in WRs there for whatever reason. It’s weird considering they had so much production from Moss when he was there.

My grandfather was in his 70s and intubated for 3 months. While it is tough to come off of it he did and lived for about a decade afterward. He led a good life during that time.

Last update I read was pretty encouraging. Down to 50% oxygen from 100% this time last night.

I’m just wondering how long he was deprived of oxygen before he got the assist.
That doesn’t mean anything until he comes off the ventilator. The ventilator is still doing all the breathing work, but he only needs 50% O2 to keep his saturation levels normal. Last night he was at 100% O2 because his heart had stopped beating and I’m sure his organs had started to shut down. When he comes off the vent and can sustain his O2 levels, that’s when we will know where he is.
I dealt with my dad and his lung transplant, all the ventilator settings and O2 readings are very misleading.
All that matters is can the kid breathe on his own. If there’s any heart or brain damage chances are he will not come off the ventilator.
