Election Chatter Thread...

I am still amazed at these crowds who supposedly voted for Biden because of COVID.

Uh, you are doing it wrong.

You think there's a good chance Mitch goes for student loan debt forgiveness? Not being snarky actually curious.
I think the Republican Party has a huge opportunity to seize the moment and keep the radical left at bay. This is important. I hope they recognize that fact.

They're fucking sharing bottles of champagne

It seems some of these people are all enthusiastic because of Harris.

She's going to be a role player until Biden dies off.

Forgiveness, I doubt. I also doubt executive order.

But I could see there being a push to make big bankruptcy changes. Including making student loans dischargeable under some circumstance.

One of the reasons Warren dropped out and agreed to support Biden was apparently because he said he would help her get some bankruptcy changes. That’s Warren’s entire career, is bankruptcy (despite the fact she’s never filed a case for anyone).

That and weed legalization.
That would be huge for them. There are so many opportunities. If they stick to old-fashioned values, it will just make it difficult to deal with the Left.

That and weed legalization.

Unfortunately I bet Oregon legalizing Herion/Meth/Coke hurts the weed movement as quite a few will use the slippery slope argument

It will be watched. As soon as it goes awry, we will have the hysterics still insisting that weed is a gateway drug.

Honestly, it is really stupid. And yes, it is a real tool used to incarcerate people unnecessarily.

Did Oregon “legalize” that shit, or lesson the punishment for it?

I have a hard time believing people will be injecting heroin on their lunch break.

“Hey Tom, you were a little cranky in the board meeting just now, maybe shoot up before you come back from lunch? Thanks.”

I was surprised to hear Dan Crenshaw voted against it and was reticent to commit to legalization as he seemed to feel it was a gateway drug as well (this was what I recall from listening to him on Joe Rogan's show)

IIRC, they decriminalized possession

They made possession of small amounts the equivalent of a ticket.

It was actually 37 days
