Smith is climbing my Most Hated Cowboys list.
I don’t hate the guy but I recall a few years in the past that you and I were prophesying that The odds of Smith getting over his surgery and becoming the player he once was wasn’t likely. We took a little heat but it appears he isn’t going to ever be the guy he was drafted to be.

You are saying he is dumb? If so, I agree.
I mean, I think I'll go so far as to say none of his problems are physical.

The guy essentially ran up with Odell Beckham, a WR. His movement problems are overblown.

He has to read and react quicker, he has to stop making dumb plays, has to stop hitting guys after the play is over, and finally needs to put in a little more effort.

But some of that might be a problem when he considers himself 33% football player, 33% real estate mogul and 33% sunglasses salesman.

He looks like he makes business decisions when contact comes. I agree its not physical otherwise he wouldn't have been a stud 2 years ago. He needs a coach like he had back then that simplified shit and had him running free to the ball carrier. Obviously we used to have a stud LBer coach who has made the Colts defense great.

great players dont rely on coaches to make plays. They excel at their job regardless. He needs to man up, or get TF out of the way. You're paid top dollar, now show me what you got.

Straight on speed is a bonus for chasing down folks, provided you take the right angle.

But he has to high-step too much to react in time. I have bad knees, and some of the worst sports for me to play are basketball and tennis where you are constantly pivoting.

LB in the NFL is also a lot of quick pivots as you react. His are always a step slow, and sure while there is a mental component he's also physically impaired.

This is a big reason why opposing offenses attack us with misdirection.
