50 years from now, my son will be telling stories of sitting on his daddy’s lap watching the Seattle Dragons beat the Defenders in the inaugural game and capturing his heart for life.

So much for chatter

This is like Thursday night on a Saturday afternoon.

Remember when the Eagles jumped Dallas to get their hands on Pumphrey?

The AAF was more professional looking. Especially the uniforms.

We can hear what the coach is saying. Miking up Garrett would have been a waste.

I’d like to have seen no kickers at all.

No punts, no FGs.

If you can’t convert 10 yards on four downs, opponents take over from there.

We just witnessed history, boys. First TD ever.

Cheers to the next 100.

The lack of a kicked extra point will likely result in a lot more longer FG attempts.

How on earth did oddsmakers come up with point spreads for this?

No way. It’ll result in more 4th down attempts.

If an NFL kicker converted 58% of 50+ yards, then it’ll be less for XFL. This will push more 4th down attempts from scrimmage.

Means Maher should get a workout with one of the teams.

If you get a chance to tie the game with a 52-yarder or go for it on 4th and 5, these guys are going to Garrett-out.

Brett Maher would be league MVP.
