I think part of Jones' problem is he doesn't trust his reads and doesn't gamble as often as some of the top tier CBs in the league. Unless the pass is errant and thrown right at them, most CBs rely on jumping routes to generate the turnover. Jones appears to either lack that instinct or he simply chooses to play it safe and settle for pass breakups.
Hell he just doesn't play the ball. He plays the man and flails his arms to get the breakups. He had opportunities for picks but he was busy swipping errantly with one arm instead of using two to catch the ball.

Seems like an unusual structure but I bet it's designed to be restructured to create money in the future.

Pretty glaring that they can get out relatively safely after year 2 though.

Year 1 cap hit of 12 million is noteworthy also.

It's a 2 year deal and then basically 3 team options after that. I'm sure with the cap continuing to rise a cap hit of 22 for a top 10 WR will look like a bargain in 2022.

Yeah and depending how Gallup progresses in 2 years we can get out and pay Gallup instead if we want.
