Morris Claiborne expects 'big jump' in second season

IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborne gave himself a C-minus grade after finishing his rookie season with one interception.
But he expects things to be different in 2013.
"I expect a big jump for myself and play way different than last year," Claiborne said when asked if he'll improve in 2013.
Claiborne said he's built up more strength to work with press coverage to "take control of routes. I can tell a big difference just being stronger at the top of the break.
"I felt that I needed to do it to help my game, as well. I felt a little bit last year like I was losing receivers at the top of the break and not being in front of them enough at the line of scrimmage. That was a big emphasis that I wanted to do in the offseason."
The Cowboys need to create more turnovers, especially from the secondary. The Cowboys moved up in the draft in 2012 to select Claiborne sixth overall with the expectation he could help with takeaways.
