Jerry Jones in favor of NFL franchise in London

February, 16, 2014

By Calvin Watkins | ESPNDallas.com

Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones told Sky Sports NFL he's in favor of a NFL team being in London.

The Cowboys take on the Jacksonville Jaguars on Nov. 4 in London's Wembley Stadium. It's one of three games coming to London for the 2014 season.

"I think that’s very possible," Jones said. "Yes, I'm very much for it. I think there's a good chance and these games will be a good indication of the kind of support we can have there. And London is one of the few cities outside of the United States that would be a great city internationally for the NFL."

This is the first scheduled regular season game the Cowboys will participate in franchise history.

The Cowboys played in Wembley Stadium in 1986 and 1993. The Cowboys also played in Tokyo, Toronto, Mexico City and Monterrey for preseason games.

"We're very anxious and we got to play there in (1993) for a preseason game not a regular season game there in Wembley," Jones said. "I'm very excited about it. We have a lot of really great Cowboys fans in London."

The NFL has played at least one game in London each year since 2007. In 2013, the NFL had two games scheduled and of course this upcoming season there will be three games overseas.

Good, Jerry.

Take you, your goofy son and the rest of your perverted family overseas.

Buy an old castle in London and start up your new NFL franchise. Blow up your stadium art gallery stadium here, build a new one there and leave the Cowboys name behind.

Please.
