Just saw it on ESPN.

Very sad news.

One of the best hitters to ever play the game. Certainly one of the top 5 who I've personally watched.

Yes, he's been battling it for a few years. Somewhere in his mouth/jaw area. He thought it was from chewing tobacco.

RIP. Amazing hitter, great guy too. Way too young at 54.
