He needs to lose to teach the Republican machine in the state that they need to get serious. Democrats have been winning governor elections in this state for a while because the Republican candidates have sucked for one reason or another, from the "bathroom bill," fallout which was foreseeable, to this now.

I would be more worried about who is governor but the Republican party has a super majority in NC and has overturned some of Cooper's dumbass vetos, like when he veto'd our awesome school choice bill. They bitch slapped him down and told his dumb ass we are doing it anyway.

But governors usually have a big say in election procedures. The way purple states start to turn blue is by electing Dem leadership that does everything to cement future power.

Even if he is "kind of a lunatic", he can't be worse than anything but the most moderate/centrists of Dems. And those barely exist anymore.

He's just a crackpot. He is, in fact, the kind of dangerous extremist people sometimes say mainstream Republicans are. In this case it's true.

But you are right - the Republicans in this state have a legislative supermajority, but this is how you lose the state over time. Especially with so many northerners and Californians moving here. It's dangerous. That's why I said they need to be sent a message, and quickly, that they have to stop dicking around.

Where we are sold that certain things are just awful for us and will kill us, all in the name of getting you to buy something because it doesn't have corn syrup or something in it at twice the cost. Hey, here are organic free range eggs. Which are the exact same (Expcept we let the chickens roam slightly outside for 30 minutes a day) and we charge you 8 bucks a carton.
