Now now, let's be fair. On some of those plays he was double-teamed or flat out tackled. The rest of the plays sucked.

Jerry likes what he's doing, though.

I was about to say the same thing. Regardless, being completely upended on multiple plays and blown totally off the ball and forced out of position by one guy is bad. Really bad. It shows poor technique, a lack of strength, and laziness.

He said he likes what they have except they are simply not doing it right.

This is not an issue of how fat he is or is not. He is the last fucking guy out of his stance, plays with terrible pad level, zero upper body strength and poor awareness.

Plus he just doesn't play hard enough. Doesn't have the mentality of a NT, which is nothing but dirty work.

Enjoy that rookie contract, it’s probably the last one you’ll get.

He’s likely in the top 5 thus far, that’s for sure.
Here's his competition if we limit it to Jerry's ownership since '89:

Shante Carver
Ebenezer Ekuban
Bobby Carpenter
Morris Claiborne
Taco Charlton

I might actually make it his whole tenure in Dallas without knowing what number he is.

I’ve never noticed him in a game. I’m trying to pull this off, so I cannot watch the videos highlighting his sadness.

Ekuban turned out to be serviceable. Even got close to double digit sacks one year.

Sad to see that Mazi has not progressed.

They finally drafted a DT and he flopped, so we'll not be going to that well for another couple decades.

That's the worst part about it right there.
Defensive tackles are not a premium position. You should not have to invest in the first.

If you do, they better be impactful.

But you have to look.

We should've taken Bresee, he wouldn't have solved the running game issues but that's more of a cultural thing that seems to be endemic throughout the defense.

Yeah I'm to the point that I'm drafting a DT in the first he better be a monster or have some stupid quickness. Like Deon Walker as an example of a monster. But I don't understand why we can't draft the 300-315 pound 6'4"+ guy who can get sacks. We have to take the slightly big DE tweeners or the pure NTs.
