To be more specific about the unpronouncable ingredients, below is a partial list of common ones found in everyday foods, like ham, that are under fire for being hazardous. All are FDA-approved.

Artificial sweeteners - aspartame, saccharin, sucralose
Preservatives - sodium benzoate, potassium benzoate, butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), sodium nitrates & nitrites
Artificial colors - blue, green, yellow, red
Flavor enhancer - MSG

The whole deal about if you can't pronounce things don't eat it is an obvious oversimplification of things but still a pretty good general guide.

Oh yeah, asshole?

I could make it like real real and stuff.

How would you feel about a thread spelling out why we were lucky to have Tom Landry?

I could get it together in short time, with supporting "statistics".

You want that?

Huh?

Huh?

I could do that you know, don't think that I couldn't.

Went grocery shopping and, to be honest, was baffled by the choices due to all the healthier options and higher prices. Ultimately, this can more than double the grocery bill. Organic and cage-free eggs ($8) were twice as much as the regular dozen. Then there were cage-free chicken eggs, but not labeled organic and then organic eggs that weren't from cage free chickens. WTF.

Of the following food 'truths', what do you subscribe to and what's bullshit?
Organic is healthier: Marketing Tool, utter bullshit
Aspartame causes cancerDon't know probably, doesn't everything
Cage-free is healthierDon't eat meat, but it screams Bullshit, although there is something to say about not torturing an animal
Bottled water vs tap Depends on where you live, generally tap is better, unless you live in one of the 1000's of towns in this country whose drinking water is contaminated by our crappy infrastructure, or corporations pollution
Stevia is healthier than artificial sweeteners and sugar Supposedly, I like it better
high fructose corn syrup is unhealthyTrue
iodized salt No opinion
Gluten-free is healthier Bullshit unless you have celiac disease
Farmers markets/buying local produce better than shipped from out-of-state Better for your local community and economy, and you can at least check out what they do and how they do it
wild fish vs farm-raised fish Don't eat fish, but when I did, wild were always better

If someone had told me that I am more closely aligned with 2233 than Skid on the subject of food, I would have called them crazy.

I have a daughter with an eating disorder. A lot of my opinions on these food fads are affected by her disorder.

Take solace I bet we disagree 100% on GMOs
