I don't even think the article mentioned background checks at all. It was honestly a pretty dumb article by a liberal trying to tell conservatives what to do.

Actually I concentrated on what Popovich had to say versus the prose around his quotes.
Do you have a problem with either of these statements?

I think you could take out gun lobbies and put about any lobbies in there and I would agree.
With that being said I've had one client shot and killed by an officer and another client whose mentally disabled girlfriend was shot by an officer in like a 2 week span so my belief that guns are somehow in better hands with the people our government "picks" doesn't give me the warm and fuzzies either.

You can’t legislate good morales whether guns, drugs, porn, gambling etc. Lawmakers and Attorneys think they can create or destroy a person or adversary by creating or legislating their opinions into laws and judicial manipulation to make things be what they represent. A good part of the public can live daily with any upheaval created by legal power brokers to keep them in place so the need for a lot of the governmental manipulation is a lot of times brought about to make the masses think the need people to create controls. It’s a form of self justification.
Which brings us to the Biden and Trump upheaval. This game has been in play for over four years and virtually nothing has been resolved about either of these individuals alleged practices. Primarily because each has a sufficient amount of closet skeleton materiel to keep this as a chess match for as long as needed.. iIn the end it all should come down to who is the best equipped to manage the social and financial needs of the country but in either case that won’t happen because the election outcome will be accomplished by an entrenched political cancer of liberal or conservative persuasions of those who make their way to the voting booths and then that is subject to a manipulation of the outcome.
I jut threw in the last part about Biden and Trump as a bonus to keep you guessing whether I have become senile.
