I think this could be the rare instance where he'd be fine with not getting attention.What I would much rather is no one showing up. That would bother Jerry way more than anything. An empty room, no publicity, no attention. A showing that people don't care about your team anymore.
As someone pointed out last night, I don't think Jerry's proud of this hire. He announced it at 10 PM on a Friday night.
PR 101 has taught them that it's best to deliver unpleasant news late Friday afternoon/evening to avoid the M-F news cycle.
If he thought he had a splash hire on his hands, he's not making the announcement until Sunday or Money to maximize the attention.
