In terms of dressing, it is simple. Bleu cheese. Then Italian. Then if all else fails, ranch.

But it better be good ranch. And let me tell ya, there is a different between that and generic ranch, like you get in a bottle.

@tnt talked about the powder versus others, yes, the original dry Hidden Valley is the best (only as a dressing).
