Wow, it's great to see a "stuff" thread.

It's football time!!!!
At times it felt like it would never come, and at the same time, it doesn't feel like it is really even here. Without preseason games, etc, it just doesn't seem like it is really truly here. But, it is! :towel

I'm going to be disappointed if the Cowboys allow that sad group of Rams RBs to rush for over 100 yards against them.
They are going to have to do it through the air. This is going to be an early test for our secondary. They have some pretty decent talent at WR.

That's the way I see it as well. Plus there's been a lot of buzz about their rookie WR Van Jefferson. I remember seeing him a few times while watching Florida games but he never stood out as any type of special WR. But that could be due to the uneven QB play they've had at Florida over the last decade. I'm interested in seeing what the hype is about.

Ill be honest. I hope the lack of preseason games becomes a permanent change. They feel like the biggest waste of time and guys get hurt.

For the fans and established players I think it's almost a complete waste of time. But there is value in the games for those late round picks, UDFAs, and other fringe players with less than 2 years of pro football experience.

I'd like to see the number of preseason games permanently reduced to 2 games.

Same. There is no need for 3-4 preseason games, but as you said, I see value in a couple of games.

True, but it starts to feel like football again. Next week, it'll just start out of the blue.
it may seem sudden, but Im thinking you're ready for it. I know I am.

Couldn't disagree more. I hate the no preseason. I feel like we have no odea which players are good or not because no one has had a chance to prove themselves. I'm not nearly as excited for week 1 as normal either and it was definitely a lack of preseason and camp.

but if you think about it, you've watched many years worth of preseason games. Do you feel like you were able to discern alot from watching them? Like who will make it and who won't? it seems that we rarely get surprised at cut down time by games that pit 3rd string players against one another. Im not advocating for zero preseason, but I think now is a good time to consider modifying it .

actually a lot of us did, or at least, see teh difference between pre season and regular season. and its fun to watch the guys on the cusp. some will surpirse, some will just show why some fans are just plain wrong.

We may be shorthanded versus the Rams passing game. Carr might get activated.

Has it ever been reported what position Carr will play? I think he would be a pretty decent fit at safety.
