I at least see the vision drafting a dude like that. Just dominate the line of scrimmage, draft a good RB to pound the rock behind it and just control the game.
Booker is a quality 10 year OL starter but he has some athletic limitations that make him a non-option unless there is a trade down.

Lookit, I get it that Schottenheimer's kid wants to run the ball and all, but let's be a little less gung ho about it.

We could march out our OL with no other significant additions and I believe the improved coaching alone makes us better.

Yeah 12 for a guard is where you expect special. I don't think Booker is special enough to justify it. And honestly I like Donovan Jackson almost as much. And in the end you have no play makers outside of Lamb. Granted I believe we will get a RB but you're probably not getting a great weapon outside of that, outside of the first round, of this draft.

I'd consider Booker, Zabel and even Jackson after a trade down, although I'd rather go with Harmon, Egbuka, Grant, etc.

Jackson in the second/third to scratch the OL itch would be acceptable.

He filled in damn well for Simmons and gives you that oh so valuable position flex.

No chance Jackson is there in the 3rd, outside shot at the 2nd and if he's there I'm running to the podium.

Yeah I have him sort of pegged in the second. This interior Oline class is just too thin for a guy like that to fall to the third.

My point was really that if we are intent on building a really badass Oline it can be done without burning the 12th pick on an interior Olineman. I think Beebe was a badass pick last year. We got him in the third round.

And in this draft, even though it's "weak" I don't think it would be that hard to nail the first 3 picks. You can get a great starting WR, badass DT and a damn good RB in the first three rounds and come out of this thing with 3 starters. But when you start forcing pick for need at other positions it gets dicey. And what I'm worried about is if you take a Booker in the first and you start forcing the bigger need positions later you'll end up missing on those second and third rounders.

This coming from the same guy who insisted for days that Schottenheimer would not be the HC damn near up until the day it was announced?

Yea he can miss me with his fake insider bullshit.
Yeah, if he gets many more that wrong he's needs to re-think his sources.

Reminds me of the joke that if you look around the poker table and don't see the sucker... then you're the sucker.

I think he is a guy the team feeds bullshit to. I have no other explanation.

And I like Simmons. If we didn't just draft Guyton I may be all over this news.
