Lol, we're really worried about this petty stuff? From the Daily Beast.

And again, funny how the Dems are claiming this "affordability" victory in NYC as if any R caused it when Dems have been mayor there for 20 years.
It's not a D vs R thing. It's actually more that people think socialism is the cure. They really have no idea.

It is though because no R endorses socialism while Mamdani is literally a Democratic Socialist. And had the endorsement of every big name in the party.

Everyone trying to undercut each other, to the point where they are the equivalent of a Costco rotisserie chicken as their loss leader.

And before you sing the praises of Target and Aldi, you might want to compare what they offered last year with this year's iteration.

Just as Trump should have done before he tried to use Walmart as the shining example of how his economy is doing.

Isn't the point that inflation has come down under Trump, which is true?

I'm sure if you take only a few week or month sample size of Biden, it's somehow not true. :rolleyes But over the Biden term, inflation was a massive problem, where it's not under Trump.

Or are we still going with "Putin's Price Hike"? :lol

You are paying less for things now than you were a year ago?

There is no disputing that shit was out of control under Biden, but I don't see anything that we are paying less for now. Not a fucking thing.

Inflation coming down isn't the same as inflation being negative. You will never see negative inflation. If you do it's a sign of really bad things to come. We actually try to avoid it.
Exactly, that's called deflation. And it's almost always a sign of very, very bad things. Like a depression.

The price of beef going up 20% is more than just the normal inflation due to wage increases, etc.
No cattle prices are up because of poor weather conditions and a lower supply. That's your normal supply and demand playing games with the price. I've got relatives who are in the cattle industry. For a while it just wasn't very profitable to feed them based on what they were selling for. I know my dad at one point said it made more sense to sell the corn and not have cattle because corn prices were high and beef was low. So he stopped buying cattle, and sold the corn instead of having a herd. I imagine this what other farmers did as well. Reduced supply of beef leads to higher prices. You all can probably speak more to Texas, but that's how it goes with Iowa farmers.

And what will ultimately happen is the higher beef prices will probably push some the other direction now. I don't know what the corn prices are like but those get driven up or down by either good weather or bad weather.

I’m m paying far less. I filled up yesterday for $2.19/gallon. 18 eggs are $3.64 but were $9 a year ago. Bought a gallon of milk for $2.89.
Prices are demonstrably down. It’s not even debatable.

We already talked about egg prices and why they were so ridiculously high a year ago.

And gas, do yourself a favor and google gas prices compared to a year ago. You're saving yourself a whopping 7 cents, (on average).

Milk is an outlier in that it's down 23% from last year.

Only a Trump sycophant will say that he/she is paying less this year for groceries as a whole.

Wait, is Cujo really Karoline Leavitt?
