They should have been in long ago. I'm torn between wanting them in and thinking they're too good for it. :lol

I'm not sure I'd say they don't have a chance with fan voting though. Never know.
Honestly, I thought they had gotten in long ago. Complete failure on the HOF that they aren't in there yet.

Mark Zonder is great too. I forget which albums he was on though.

Zonder was in Fates Warning for about 17 years beginning in the mid 80s.

Prior to joining Fates Warning, Zonder co-founded a band called Warlord with guitarist Bill Tsamis.

It was just announced that Tsamis died a few days ago. RIP

Warlord was pretty unknown back in the 80s and they didn't put out a lot of music prior to breaking up. They had a resurgence in the 2000s once file sharing became prominent, and reformed, putting out a couple pretty good albums. But their 80s stuff is stellar (and if you are into drumming Zonder is no joke) and the stuff I listened to A LOT growing up.

RIP Bill Tsamis.

The song Hashpipe by Weezer was originally written for Ozzy but he turned it down.

Brought to you by the generic uber facts....

My thought as well. I almost wished he would do it now just to see what he would have done with it.

In his younger days he could have made it interesting. Nowadays he'd mail it in with his typical Ozzy-by-numbers.

There are really good drummers like Taylor Hawkins and Tony Royster, and then there are ELITE drummers like Grohl. To me he is in the same league as Carter Beauford, Neil Peart, and Joey Jordison. That is some seriously elite company.
