Different might simply mean signing three Olawale instead of one. But maybe the draft will be a little different too.

I think they like their comp picks too much to sign anyone worth af.

This is true. They do lo e the comp picks. But there is a limit on the number of comp picks you can get. I think we exceeded it last offseason.

True but the size of the signings matter too. If they sign anybody to too big of a contract I believe they could lose some potential picks even if they lose way more than they sign.

Right, it's right after the draft (whatever the actual date is) that FA signings don't count in the calculations. That's why Cheap Son always waits until after then to sign people. And of course the good players are all already picked over by then.

Would have expected a bunch of retreads and cronies to be hired by Schottenheimer to be his offensive staff. Very pleasantly surprised with his picks thus far.

Just barely avoided a classic timestamp. Glad I didn't post.

He'd probably be fine as a QB coach, but I almost don't see how you go with someone who's become such a social media punch line.

Well Shot has convinced Jerry to hire more coaches.

What's wrong with that?

We know he won't be OC, if he's just the QB coach/"passing game coordinator" that's a very solid hire.
He is a spazz thanks to the wing ding everyone saw when he was in Buffalo, but if his role will basically be to placate Prescott, I am not concerned.

Even better than what we had which was Jim Haslett’s kid. Schottenheimer is rubbing out the lower families. This is a classic strategy.

Can't complain about the fact that we barely return anybody from McCarthy's staff except for Schottenheimer himself and a few random strength coach types.

The staff is definitely younger and the college flavor is a departure from what we have done in a significant way.
